Intentional Detachment Practice

This is an experimental method, designed by Liz Temple, to quickly reduce the fear response and create peace at the point of pain.

 

It is based on the theories of the articles and e book on this web site, so it is preferable that they have been read beforehand.

 

It is, however, designed to be very simple. Feedback is very much needed, and please be honest! It is described in complete faith that carrying out this advice can ultimately only result in a positive effect. Please take full responsibility for the outcome.

 

It involves pre-programming a message to your subconscious mind and the use of the phrase, ‘let go, let go, let go’ repeated to create a relaxation response at the time of repetition. This is designed to remove tension and fear, and create a clear mind with which decisions can be taken objectively. It takes into account beliefs and prior decisions made in the past and allows detachment from them, as keeping hold of them maintains the fear response. Many of these beliefs and prior decisions affect us now, even though we are unaware of their origin.

Please read this aloud after settling your body and mind by relaxing in your favourite way. This only needs to be done once.

 

“From now on I make the intention to all parts of me that whenever I say or think and repeat the phrase, “let go, let go, let go”, my mind and body will be induced into a relaxed, clear state, letting go of any fear or tension at that moment, and any belief or prior decision that created the fear.”

Then, whenever you feel tense, anxious, fearful, angry or sad, just start repeating "let go, let go, let go", several times to yourself to release that bad feeling.

Initial reports are good, that it stops even the physiological symptoms of panic in it's tracks

I suggest you say "let go, let go, let go" then breath in, then repeat it again, then breathe in again, and do this over 5 breaths and it should really make a difference :)
